Workshop in honour of
Prof. Carlo Taliani, CNR Research Director and former Director of the Institute of Molecular Spectroscopy in Bologna, and a prominent Italian scientist, has retired from CNR at the end of December 2010.
During his 40 year-long career Carlo Taliani significantly contributed to a variety of topics at the frontier of science: Spectroscopy of organic single crystals and organic semiconductors, superconductivity, fullerene, organic opto-electronics, nanotechnology. He has pioneered organic spintronics. He has established the first CNR Spin-off company.
With the aim to celebrate his achievements we are organizing a scientific workshop from 22 through 24 May 2011 in Bologna.
The Workshop Programme will involve renowned international scientists who collaborated with Carlo during the years.
