Experimental details

Red blood cells also known as erythrocytes, are agents which deliver oxygen to body tissues. Their cytoplasm is rich in hemoglobin, an iron-containing molecule that binds oxygen and is responsible for the red color of the cells and blood. Present 80µm x 80µm AFM image shows the distribution of mouse blood cells on the glass substrate. Image was captured in amplitude modulation technique in buffer solution.
