Experimental details

Two-dimensional (2D) layered transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs), especially tungsten disulphide (WS2), have become the focus of intense scienti?c interest due to their exotic physical properties and exciting prospects for variety of applications. TMDs exhibit a large spectrum of electronic behavior such as semiconductivity, superconductivity or charge density waves. Morphological, mechanical and electrostatic study of new materials by means of Atomic Force Microscopy is one of the main ways to uncover the properties of perspective materials. This 14x14 µm image reveals the topography of tungsten disulphide flakes grown on Epitaxial Graphene. Data was measured in HybriD Mode in Vacuum conditions.
